The 14th National Installation Engineering Congress, with a 26-year tradition since its inception in 1993, was held on April 17-20, 2019, at the MMO Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center in Izmir. The event, organized under the theme “Truths and the Future in Mechanical Installation,” was conducted by the Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (TMMOB). Concurrently, the TESKON+SODEX Fair was organized by Hannover Messe Sodeks Fuarcılık A.Ş. at the same venue.
The congress and fair utilized nine halls and exhibition areas at the MMO Tepekule Congress and Exhibition Center, with support from 39 institutions, organizations, and universities. Over the course of the event, 62 sessions featured 189 papers. In addition, 7 symposiums, 9 seminars, 15 courses, 1 panel, 1 forum, 2 special sessions, and 3 morning meetings were conducted.
The TESKON+SODEX Fair featured 96 organizations showcasing their products and services across a 1,788 m² exhibition area. The congress attracted more than 3,600 participants, including 1,152 registered delegates, comprising engineers, architects, technical staff, and students from universities, vocational schools, and high schools. The fair welcomed over 6,711 visitors.
The congress highlighted scientific and technological advancements and their applications in installation engineering, including presentations on R&D efforts within the sector. Sessions focused on innovative theoretical and experimental research with international significance, while symposiums and seminars explored applied studies and projects.
